Where to start
For a newborn, start with baby name by date of birth: it gives the naam akshar from the Moon’s nakshatra pada and the numbers the name should suit, and checks your shortlist. To test an adult’s name, use name numerology, and if the fit is weak, name correction suggests spellings. Rashi and nakshatra by name work from the name alone, which helps when only the name is known, as in Kundli milan by name.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the birth time matter for the naam akshar?
The Moon moves from one nakshatra pada to the next in roughly six hours, so two babies born on the same day can get different syllables. Without the time, the calculator works with the day and shows what that day allows.
My name rashi is different from my birth rashi. Which is right?
They are used for different things. The birth rashi comes from the Moon’s position at birth; the name rashi comes from the first syllable of the name. Kundli milan by name uses the name rashi when birth details are not known.
Should I type the name in English or Hindi?
Rashi and nakshatra by name accept either, since they read the first syllable. For name numerology and name correction, type the name the way you write it in English, because the Chaldean values belong to English letters.
Is a spelling from name correction final?
No. The suggestions are ranked by fit and are meant to be talked over with Namieta before you start using a new spelling.
