How the marriage indicators are worked out
- Make the chart. The calculator finds the lagna and the nine grahas for your birth, sidereal with the Lahiri ayanamsa, in whole-sign houses (the same as the Janam Kundli).
- Find the 7th house. It is the sign opposite the lagna. Its lord, the planets sitting in it and the planets that look at it are noted. Every graha aspects the 7th house from itself; Mars also looks at the 4th and 8th, Jupiter at the 5th and 9th and Saturn at the 3rd and 10th.
- Check the significators. Venus and Jupiter are the planets traditionally linked with marriage. Their sign, house and strength (own sign, exalted or debilitated) are listed.
- Add the Manglik result from the Manglik check.
- Find the supportive periods. From the Vimshottari dasha, each antardasha between ages 18 and 45 is checked. It is listed when its lord is a marriage lord: the 7th lord, the 2nd lord, Venus, Jupiter or a graha in the 7th house. It earns a second point if the mahadasha lord is also a marriage lord, and a third if Jupiter transits in or aspects the 7th house for at least 60 days of it. Three points is shown as strong, two as supportive.

How to read the result
- Supportive and needing-care lines are counted, not weighed. A chart with a few lines needing care is not a chart without marriage, and a chart with many supportive lines is not a promise.
- Periods are where attention goes first. Marriages are decided by many things the chart cannot show: choices, families and timing in daily life.
- A strong period that has passed is not a missed chance. It is only one of the periods the rules pick out.

Can this tell me when I will get married?
No calculator can promise a date. This one lists the dasha periods between ages 18 and 45 where the planets linked with marriage are active, and marks the ones where Jupiter also supports the 7th house. Those are the periods astrologers look at first. A marriage can also happen outside them, and none of them guarantees one.
What does the 7th house show?
In the Kundli the 7th house, counted from the lagna, is the house of marriage and partnership. The calculator looks at its sign and lord, which planets sit in it or aspect it, and how Venus and Jupiter, the planets traditionally linked with marriage, are placed.
What are the marriage periods based on?
On the Vimshottari dasha. A period is listed when its antardasha lord is the 7th lord, the 2nd lord, Venus, Jupiter or a planet in the 7th house, and either the mahadasha lord is one too or Jupiter transits in or aspects the 7th house during it. The page shows which of these applies to each period.
Is a Manglik chart bad for marriage?
Not by itself. Manglik dosha is one of the checks, and it has common cancellations, and when both partners are Manglik it is usually treated as matched. The calculator shows the result and links to the full Manglik check.
Does Saturn in or aspecting the 7th house mean a late marriage?
Traditionally Saturn on the 7th house is linked with a more deliberate or later marriage and a serious partner, but it is one factor among many. The calculator notes it and does not treat it as a verdict.
Why do I need my birth time?
The 7th house depends on the lagna, and the lagna changes about every two hours. Without a time the 7th house cannot be found, so the calculator asks for it.
