Where to start
Start with the Mulank and Bhagyank calculator. It gives your two main numbers with the working, and the Mulank 1 to 9 and Bhagyank 1 to 9 pages explain each number in turn. The Lo Shu grid shows which numbers are repeated or missing in your date of birth. The Life Path calculator adds the same date the Western way, and the personal year tells you where you stand in the nine-year cycle this year. The numerology chart puts all of these on one page, together with the numbers of your name.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Mulank and Bhagyank?
Mulank (Moolank) comes from the day of the month you were born, reduced to one digit: someone born on the 23rd has 2 + 3 = 5. Bhagyank adds up the whole date of birth. Mulank is commonly read for your nature and Bhagyank for the direction your life takes.
Why can my Life Path number differ from my Bhagyank?
Both add up the full date of birth, but the Western Life Path keeps the master numbers 11, 22 and 33 and adds the day, month and year separately first. The Life Path calculator shows both numbers side by side, so you can see where they differ.
Does my personal year start on 1 January or on my birthday?
The personal year calculator uses the calendar year, 1 January to 31 December, which is the most common method. Some numerologists count it from one birthday to the next; the calculator page explains both.
Do I need my time of birth for these numbers?
No. Numerology works from the date of birth, and the numerology chart also uses your name. The time of birth matters for a Kundli, not for these numbers.
