Lal Kitab remedies (upay) for the nine planets

Before you start

• Do one remedy for one planet at a time, usually for 40 or 43 days without a break.
• Do remedies in daylight, between sunrise and sunset.
• If a day is missed, start again from the first day.
• Remedy only a planet that is troubled in your chart; remedying a planet that is fine is said to do harm.
• A blood relative may do a remedy on your behalf when you cannot.

Lal Kitab remedies for Sun (सूर्य)

Stands for: father, government, self-respect and the eyes of the family. Things linked with it: wheat, jaggery, copper. Pakka ghar: 1st house.

• Offer water to the rising Sun.
• Respect your father and take his blessings.
• Give wheat and jaggery in charity on a Sunday.
• Float a copper coin in running water.

Lal Kitab remedies for Moon (चंद्रमा)

Stands for: mother, peace of mind, travel and milk. Things linked with it: rice, milk, silver. Pakka ghar: 4th house.

• Respect your mother and take her blessings before important work.
• Keep a pot of water by the bed at night and pour it on a plant in the morning.
• Keep a piece of silver with you.
• Give rice or milk in charity on a Monday.

Lal Kitab remedies for Mars (मंगल)

Stands for: brothers, courage, land and property. Things linked with it: red lentils (masoor), sweets, honey. Pakka ghar: 3rd, 8th house.

• Keep good relations with your brothers.
• Float sweets (batashe or revadi) in running water on a Tuesday.
• Give red lentils (masoor) in charity.
• Offer prayers to Hanuman on Tuesdays.

• Keep your word and avoid harsh speech.

Stands for: teachers, grandfather, learning and faith. Things linked with it: turmeric, chana dal, saffron. Pakka ghar: 2nd, 5th, 9th, 11th, 12th house.

• Respect teachers, elders and holy people.
• Apply a tilak of saffron or turmeric.
• Give chana dal or turmeric to a temple on a Thursday.
• Water a peepal tree.

Stands for: spouse, home comforts, beauty and cows. Things linked with it: curd, ghee, camphor, white clothes. Pakka ghar: 7th house.

• Respect your spouse and keep the home happy.
• Feed a cow.
• Give curd, ghee or white clothes in charity on a Friday.
• Keep yourself and your clothes clean.

Lal Kitab remedies for Saturn (शनि)

Stands for: workers, uncles, machinery, iron and old age. Things linked with it: mustard oil, black urad, iron. Pakka ghar: 8th, 10th house.

• Treat workers and helpers well.
• Give mustard oil or black urad in charity on a Saturday.
• Feed crows or a black dog.
• Keep away from alcohol and lying.

Stands for: sons, nephews, dogs and travel. Things linked with it: black and white blankets, sesame. Pakka ghar: 6th house.

• Feed a dog.
• Help a son, nephew or young boy in the family.
• Give a black and white blanket in charity.
• Wear a gold earring or keep gold with you, as many books suggest.
