On The Star a woman kneels by a pool under one great star and seven smaller ones, pouring water from two jugs, one into the pool and one onto the land. Aquarius is the water-bearer, and the card shows the same act: giving freely, without counting. Coming straight after the shock of The Tower, The Star brings calm, healing and faith in the future. The Aquarius decans are the middle Swords. The Five of Swords (Venus, roughly 20 to 29 January) shows a smirking man gathering swords while two others walk away: a win that costs a friendship. The Six of Swords (Mercury, 30 January to 8 February) shows a ferryman taking a mother and child across to calmer water: moving on from trouble. The Seven of Swords (the Moon, 9 to 18 February) shows a man tiptoeing away with five swords: cleverness, and a plan that skips honest talk. Fair play, moving on and honesty are the themes.
