Leo’s decans are the middle Wands, and they read like a contest. The Five of Wands (Saturn, roughly 23 July to 1 August) shows five young men waving staves at one another: competition, a clash of ideas, sometimes healthy rivalry. The Six of Wands (Jupiter, 2 to 11 August) shows a rider crowned with laurel and cheered by a crowd: a public win.
